18ct bezel set diamond bracelet
This custom-made bracelet was designed for a customer who wanted something she could wear every day — a piece that felt refined enough for the evening yet understated enough for day-to-day wear.
See the story →Rouge Jewellers remodels jewellery by hand at our workshop bench in Cheltenham, South East Melbourne. We take inherited jewellery, and pieces you have stopped wearing, and remake them into something new, keeping your own gold, silver and gemstones wherever they can be used.
Bring in everything you are thinking of using, including broken or damaged pieces. If you have a design in mind, bring a picture or a sketch.
We look at each piece with you and tell you what it is made of and what condition it is in. Sound gemstones can often be set again. Gold and silver can often go into the new piece. Some material will not suit the new design; we will tell you which.
We return any gold, silver or stones we do not use, or if you prefer put their value towards the cost of the work.
There is no set price, because every piece is different. The cost depends on what you want made, how much of your own gold and stones can be reused, any further metal or gemstones the new piece needs, and how complex the design is.
It depends on what is being made and how complex the design is. If you need your piece by a certain date, tell us at the start.

See the story →This sterling silver bangle was a commission for a customer who wanted to breathe new life into her old, unworn silver jewellery. She loved the idea of something symbolic — a piece that carried a sense of movement and direction — so we decided on an arrow design, pairing sentiment with strength.
See the story →This piece began as a pair of 18ct yellow gold and onyx cufflinks that the customer had been gifted years ago but never worn. He loved the look and sentiment of them but, being someone who doesn’t wear cufflinks, he wanted to transform them into something meaningful — a pair of earrings for his wife.
See the story →A sentimental commission rooted in memory and meaning. The client wished to reuse the gold from a tiny signet ring she had been given as a baby in the 1940s — a piece steeped in personal history. Rather than melting it down completely, we suggested a reimagining that would preserve its essence while giving it new life in a modern form.
See the story →This custom handmade chain was created using recycled gold from jewellery provided by the client — a meaningful transformation that gave new life to pieces once left unworn. Crafted in a mix of 9ct white and yellow gold, the design celebrates contrast, balance, and sustainability, bringing warmth and brightness together in one striking composition.
See the story →This bespoke pendant was thoughtfully handcrafted using gold and diamonds from a cherished ring the client had inherited from her late mother. What began as a traditional trilogy ring — with smaller diamonds set delicately into the band — was transformed into a new piece that honours both memory and modern design.
See the story →This bespoke ring was crafted in 18ct yellow gold, designed to give new life to diamonds reclaimed from pieces of jewellery the client had either inherited or no longer wore.
